The 2020 Nominating Committee is seeking qualified candidates to be considered for service on the LeadingAge Kansas Board.

In April 2020, these LeadingAge Kansas Board positions will be open:

  • Chair Elect (must be an current member of the Board)
  • Up to four additional Directors

Board members serve 3-year terms, and can be elected to two consecutive terms. The Board meets five times a year, two meetings of which are in conjunction with the association’s spring and fall conferences. Other meetings are typically in November/December, January//February and July/August. (Meetings in 2020 are on April 20, August 5&6, October 6 and December 4.)

The 2020 Nominating Committee is Nate Glendening (Committee Chair), Jean Bryant and Christie Patrick. The Committee will develop a slate of nominees to be presented at the membership business meeting on April 22. The Nominating Committee encourages interested individuals to review the requirements and submit an application. If you have previously submitted a nomination, we ask that you resubmit your nomination so the Nominating Committee is assured of having the most complete and current information possible.

Rachel Monger, JD, LACHA is President/CEO. Rachel joined LeadingAge Kansas in 2011 as the Director of Government Affairs and has been a powerful voice for our membership ever since. Rachel is a Kansas licensed attorney and adult care home administrator. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. Over the years, Rachel has served in many volunteer roles in her community and in the state of Kansas to support senior needs, aging services education, and community mental health services. She is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Kansas Health Care Stabilization Fund. As an award-winning trial lawyer, turned award-winning senior care advocate, she has spent nearly two decades passionately supporting quality of care and quality of life for Kansas seniors.
