Orange alphabet helium balloons forming the text feedback

We have heard from members they have been receiving requests to submit a 2126 form when residents are admitted to the hospital even if it has not yet been 30 days or a formal discharge from the facility. From the inquiry these members completed, it seems the protocol remains unchanged and submission of the 2126 should only be submitted for hospital stays after 30 days or formal discharges. There seems to be some inconsistencies among these requests at KDHE and concerns this could disrupt the billing process. We are engaging KDHE leadership to help us work through this discrepancy and seek additional member feedback to see how widespread this is. Members are encouraged to email Kylee Childs with any feedback.
