This is the Call for Nominations to serve on the LeadingAge Kansas Board of Directors.  In April 2017, the following positions will be open for election at the April 28, 2017 member business meeting during the Annual Convention in Wichita:

  • Eligible for re-election as Chair – Nate Glendening
  • Eligible for re-election as Chair Elect – Crystal Packard
  • 3 -4 new Board members
  • Eligible for re-election to a full term after having completed the unexpired term of a previous board member – Joe Ewert

This year’s Nominating Committee is Kevin Reimer, Chair; Mike Smith and John Wells.  The Committee will develop a slate of nominees to be presented at the membership business meeting.  The Nominating Committee encourages individuals who interested in board service, and who are employed by a LeadingAge Kansas member organization, to review the requirements and submit an application.

If you have previously submitted a nomination, we ask that you resubmit your nomination so the Nominating Committee is assured of having the most complete and current information possible.

Nominations must be submitted no later than March 22, 2017.

Rachel Monger, JD, LACHA is President/CEO. Rachel joined LeadingAge Kansas in 2011 as the Director of Government Affairs and has been a powerful voice for our membership ever since. Rachel is a Kansas licensed attorney and adult care home administrator. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. Over the years, Rachel has served in many volunteer roles in her community and in the state of Kansas to support senior needs, aging services education, and community mental health services. She is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Kansas Health Care Stabilization Fund. As an award-winning trial lawyer, turned award-winning senior care advocate, she has spent nearly two decades passionately supporting quality of care and quality of life for Kansas seniors.
