The KING Safety Grant is back for 2026, and we would love to receive your application. The Safety Grant Program is designed to fund specific KING member safety needs and initiatives that will enhance a culture of employee safety within the member organization. This year, the KING Board of Directors has approved a total award pool of $50,000. 

Interested in applying? Here’s what you need to know: 

  • Must be a LeadingAge Kansas and KING member in good standing to be eligible. 
  • This is a matching grant: Applicants must be able to match the grant amount requested at a minimum. 
  • Grant applications are considered for each of these 3 project categories: 
    • Equipment: purchases of personal protective equipment, like safe shoes, mechanical lifting devices, etc. 
    • Training: purchases of training materials like in-service programs/modules with a safety emphasis.  
    • Innovation: funding a specific initiative to promote a culture of safety for your employees.

Addy Mead
A graduate of Wichita State University’s Math Education program, Addy is using her planning and organizational skills, creativity, and love of helping others to support our providers and members. First as Administrative Coordinator and now as Associate Director of Communications & Events, Addy’s primary duties include overseeing general member communications through social media, our Weekly Member Calls, the Aging Update, and database and website maintenance. She also collaborates with the team to plan, produce, and market events across all aspects of LeadingAge Kansas, manage Continuing Education processing.. Outside of the office, Addy enjoys crafting, playing board games, video games, and DnD, and spending time with her fiancé and their two cats.
