Today Senate Majority Leader Senator Schumer sent a letter to the Senate Democratic Caucus updating on the progress on Build Back Better and setting the goal of the Senate completing its work on the bill before Christmas. Several provisions are still under discussion, including the nursing home provisions LeadingAge is asking be deleted or changed significantly. We continue to advocate actively with members of the Senate and their staff members to support the HCBS expansion, workforce, and housing provisions and seek changes or elimination of the nursing home staffing sections.
