Discovery Call on Home Care Requirements in Kansas 

LeadingAge Kansas is coordinating a discovery call with a few non-members providing home care services in the state about the requirements for licensure and desires to see some changes for non-medical and private duty providers. We’ve coordinated a couple of individual calls with members we know are providing home care or home health services but would like to invite any other members who are interested in this conversation to join the call. Criminal Background Checks for KDADS HOC 

We’ve heard from some providers that they are struggling with the new CRC online program rolled out through KDADS in November. We’ve reached out to KDADS about this, but they have asked to work with providers on an individual basis. If you’ve been experiencing issues with this system, please reach out to Kylee with a few bullet points of what you have been experiencing.

Kylee Childs, MSW, is the Director of Government Affairs.Since joining the association in 2023, she continues to be a fierce and resourceful advocate for aging services in Kansas. Her professional focus has always been service to others through advocacy. Kylee has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a bachelor's degree in criminology with a minor in Conflict Analysis and Trauma studies from Kansas State University, and a certificate in Grant Proposal Writing from Fort Hays State University. With a professional background in law enforcement and child welfare, and a successful 2023 legislative practicum with the Children's Alliance of Kansas, she brings rich professional experience to her role as Director of Government Affairs, and a front-line perspective on the needs of health and human services providers in our state.
