KING is excited to announce that the annual KING Safety Grant applications and the Winter KING Member Zoom calls are back in January 2026.  

KING Safety Grant Applications Open January 1 

The KING Board of Directors and Service Team are pleased to announce the 2026 Safety Grant Program. For 2026, the KING Board has declared that the total award pool available is $50,000.  

The Safety Grant Program is designed to fund specific KING member safety needs and initiatives that will enhance a culture of employee safety within the member organization. Awardees must be a LeadingAge Kansas and KING member in good standing for the 2026-27 Policy Year. This is a matching grant: members are required to match the grant amount requested at a minimum.  

Applications can be accepted for projects involving: Equipment, Training, or Innovation. Applications will be accepted between January 1 and February 28, 2026. Questions about the Safety Grant Program can be directed to Tina Andres.

Winter 2026 KING Member Zoom Calls Scheduled 

Join the KING Service Team for our Winter 2026 KING Member Zoom Calls! This is a no-cost annual series, and all KING members are invited to attend. 

Sessions: 

  • January 20 – OSHA Top 10 and OSHA 300 Log 
  • February 17 – Intro to KING and New Member Orientation 
  • March 17 – Fleet Safety and Ensuring Your Organization is DOT Compliant 

All sessions will be from 1:00-2:00 PM CST.

Addy Mead
A graduate of Wichita State University’s Math Education program, Addy is using her planning and organizational skills, creativity, and love of helping others to support our providers and members. First as Administrative Coordinator and now as Associate Director of Communications & Events, Addy’s primary duties include overseeing general member communications through social media, our Weekly Member Calls, the Aging Update, and database and website maintenance. She also collaborates with the team to plan, produce, and market events across all aspects of LeadingAge Kansas, manage Continuing Education processing.. Outside of the office, Addy enjoys crafting, playing board games, video games, and DnD, and spending time with her fiancé and their two cats.
