Coronavirus Update Calls for Week of July 11th
On Monday, let’s catch up on current thinking around town and around the country on long-term care and aging services reform. And, on Wednesday, your questions answered and concerns addressed about proper ventilation and air filtering to ensure that we are keeping everyone as safe as possible.
COVID-19 has shown both the strengths and weaknesses of our aging services infrastructure. Many of the lessons learned can help us pave the way for a better future for aging services providers. On Monday July 11th at 2:30 PM CT, we will welcome back leading aging services economist Howard Gleckman from the Urban Institute, who will talk about the issues laid bare by COVID-19 and provide his insights on how we can create the aging services infrastructure of the future. LeadingAge members have also been curious about how proper ventilation and HVAC systems can help mitigate COVID-19 transmission and create healthier and safer environments. However these systems can be quite an investment for a community.
To help answer these questions, on Wednesday, July 13th at 2:30 PM CT, we will welcome Vito Ilacqua from the Indoor Environments Division of the Environmental Protection Agency. If you haven’t registered for LeadingAge Update Calls, you can do so here. You can also find previous call recordings here. Note that to access recordings of the calls you need a LeadingAge password. Any staff member of any LeadingAge member organization can set up a password to access previous calls and other “members only” content.
