$15/Day Medicaid Update
No word on CMS approval of the State Plan Amendment for the $15 per Medicaid Resident Day allocated by the 2021 Kansas State Legislature.  LeadingAge Kansas is in daily (at least) contact with KDADS on this critical issue.  Use this information to calculate the amount you can expect to receive.

Last Day to Submit Comments on CMS-3414-IFC – Interim Final Rule on Vaccine Reporting
You can submit comments here. Check out this resource if you need help getting started. This interim final rule, published May 13, 2021, requires nursing homes and ICF-IIDs to provide education on and offer COVID-19 vaccination to residents/clients and staff. It also requires nursing homes to report COVID-19 vaccination of residents and staff and resident use of therapeutics through NHSN.
