- Governor addresses workers compensation for frontline responders.

- Fit testing- We have heard from a handful of LeadingAge Kansas members that have/are connecting with their local health department to come into a non-care room in their building to do N95 fit testing on a small group of staff. Have you made a connection like this? If not it is worth considering contacting your local health department or county emergency manager to see if they will help you get this accomplished.

- CMS New Reporting Requirements: Nursing homes will be required to duplicate reporting to 2 government entities through 2 separate reporting processes. Providers should visit the CDC’s NHSN page to familiarize themselves with this system and process and work out any issues ahead of the impending requirement.

When it comes to the media, it’s critical to provide grounding and context that frames the realities of your organization and our field. LeadingAge national has developed a set of talking points that you can use to provide the valuable, and often underrepresented, provider point of view. In addition, LeadingAge is speaking out in the media to give decision makers and the public accurate information on the novel coronavirus’ impact on our field. Here’s how we are responding to negative views on aging services during the pandemic.
