The very popular DON Learning Group, a network of LeadingAge Kansas Directors of Nursing, will meet on September 26th from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM in Junction City, KS at the Courtyard by Marriott. This is being held in conjunction with the Nursing Leadership Preconference Workshop to also be held that day. Kelly Papa, author of Effective Nurse Leadership: Transforming Long-Term Care, will be there to work with DONs to learn about how emotional intelligence can be understood to provide better leadership to your team. Kelly will also work with the DON Learning Group to help attendees understand their in creating an organizational culture that is nimble and adaptable. A graduate of Wichita State University’s Math Education program, Addy is using her planning and organizational skills, creativity, and love of helping others to support our providers and members. First as Administrative Coordinator and now as Associate Director of Communications & Events, Addy’s primary duties include overseeing general member communications through social media, our Weekly Member Calls, the Aging Update, and database and website maintenance. She also collaborates with the team to plan, produce, and market events across all aspects of LeadingAge Kansas, manage Continuing Education processing.. Outside of the office, Addy enjoys crafting, playing board games, video games, and DnD, and spending time with her fiancé and their two cats.
