Earlier this week, the LeadingAge Kansas Workforce Commission held their semi annual meeting. The group heard updates about progress since their last meeting in August of 2018, and update on our intensive effort to form the association-sponsored health plan, EBI, updates from workforce efforts from LeadingAge National and much more. The group has chosen to focus on increasing numbers of CNAs and Nurses in the field, though there was some discussion on the looming shortage of nursing home administrators and the impact on the field.

LeadignAge Kansas is planning a Workforce Conference on July 11th and 12th which will be rich in workforce education as well as Leadership Training. There will be a reunion meeting of the past Center for Leadership fellows during that time as well. The Commission approved the agenda and will be on hand to talk with the participants and answer questions about our work.

You can learn more about who is on the Commission and their focus on our Workforce Website or by contacting Dana Weaver.
