LeadingAge Kansas has received input on KanCare issues from several members over the last week regarding issues with the KanCare Clearinghouse. In preparation for meeting with them we would like to hear from even more of you. We need to know how pervasive the issues are so that we can impress on them the seriousness of the problems. Please email Lisa Stuever with details (no PHI, please) so that she can compile a list for the meeting.

Another issue in relation to KanCare that we have been hearing is Medicaid audits. Several members have experienced Medicaid audits over the last year. LeadingAge Kansas has scheduled a meeting with KDADS personnel involved in the Medicaid audits to get more information for our members about the audits. If you have had an audit recently and have comments you want to share please contact Lisa. We can share your comments anonymously, if you wish.

Addy Mead is our Administrative Coordinator. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Wichita State University’s Math Education program, Addy is using her planning and organizational skills, creativity, and love of helping others to support our providers and members. As Administrative Coordinator, Addy’s primary duties include overseeing general member communications through social media, our Weekly Member Calls, the Aging Update, and database and website maintenance. She also collaborates with Stephanie and Nicole to plan, produce, and market professional development events, manage Continuing Education processing, as well as assisting with office administration activities.
