LeadingAge has launched a new “Save HUD 202” campaign to encourage Congress to fully fund the Section 202 Housing for the Elderly program. HUD Section 202 program provides funding for housing with services coordination so this population can age in place longer and with better health outcomes. The objectives of Save HUD 202 are to prevent cuts to the program; maintain full funding for people served by affordable housing today; and expand funding to create new affordable housing for older adults. Every LeadingAge Kansas member that manages or cares about low income housing for the elderly should get involved in the campaign.
