Due Date: March 31, 2017
This year’s association theme is called “Power of Purpose” and you will see it incorporated into our conferences, other educational events and newsletters throughout the year. Our collective purpose in the field centers around the seniors we serve. They are the “why” and our springboard for all we do. The regulatory and reimbursement environment has clouded our purpose and we want to reignite and lift up the reason we do what we do.
We are collecting videos and images to show at our Spring Convention from our members. This could include individual employees or groups of employees making a 30 second or less video about why their passion is working with seniors. It could also be a picture capturing a moment that encompasses this passion. We will edit the videos and pictures together and show throughout the Spring Convention to remind us about the Power of our Purpose. We will also share them through our social media channels.
Details about videos:
Videos can be taken with digital video cameras, cellphones or tablets. The video must be high enough quality that it can be projected on a large screen and must be viewable in a large screen format. We will take YouTube videos as long as they can be downloaded and edited together with other videos.
Details about images:
Images must be 3 MB or larger so they are viewable on a large screen. We are looking for close up action shots of employees caring for or interacting with residents. For our budding photogs out there, here is a great post to help you capture the perfect shot.
Please note that these images will be shown at our Spring Convention in April to at least 200 people and on social media. It is important that the images captured show people in a favorable light and that you have photo releases for them.
Send videos and images to dana@leadingagekansas.org.
