On January 6, 2025, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Office of Civil Rights (OCR) published a proposed rule entitled, “HIPAA Security Rule to Strengthen the Cybersecurity of Electronic Health Regulation.” This Proposed Rule aims to reinforce OCR expectations for how healthcare providers and other covered entities are to maintain the security of protected health information in light of developments in technology and the management and transmission of such data in recent years.

Join LeadingAge Kansas and LeadingAge Virginia on August 20 to learn from Kyle Rene, JD, about the components of the proposed updates and what they indicate about the actions organizations should be taking in connection with data management and protection and key resources to help organizations align their cybersecurity infrastructure with best practices.
