In response to feedback received from stakeholders in the last week this is an updated notification that agencies may pause implementation of the HCBS Waivers Settings Final Rule 101 training until hearing further from KDADS on how to proceed.

KDADS has compiled comments for internal discussion, as well as seeking additional guidance from CMS on the requirement for the state to assure Settings Final Rule compliance, safety and well-being of all HCBS Settings.

The training is still available on the Kansas Train platform to assist with increasing knowledge of HCBS Settings Final Rule requirements. Thank you to all that have been proactive in reviewing, completing and providing feedback on the course.

If you continue to have feedback on the training or have HCBS Settings Final Rule training requests, please contact LaTonia Wright, HCBS Quality Oversight Specialist at latonia1.wright@ks.gov or 785-296-4980
