Bob Bethell KanCare Oversight Committee Met October 22 and 23

LeadingVoice Advocacy Bootcamp Registration Open – Space is Limited 

Join like-minded advocates and engage in hands-on workshops that will equip you with the skills to amplify your voice and drive change for aging services. You will hear from guest speakers, participate in mock hearings, learn to craft meaningful testimony, and develop other essential advocacy techniques tailored to grassroots advocacy in senior care. Once you’ve gone through the two bootcamp sessions, you will put your finely tuned advocacy skills to the test at Aging Services Day at the Kansas Capitol.  

When: November 6-7, 2024, December 4-5, 2024, and February 18, 2025 (Aging Services Day) 
Where: LeadingAge Kansas offices in Topeka, KS 

Registration Costs: Registration fees cover the cost of food, drinks, and required materials. Costs for hotels and transportation are not included. Room blocks at Hotel Topeka is available for attendees.

Kylee Childs, MSW, is the Director of Government Affairs.Since joining the association in 2023, she continues to be a fierce and resourceful advocate for aging services in Kansas. Her professional focus has always been service to others through advocacy. Kylee has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a bachelor's degree in criminology with a minor in Conflict Analysis and Trauma studies from Kansas State University, and a certificate in Grant Proposal Writing from Fort Hays State University. With a professional background in law enforcement and child welfare, and a successful 2023 legislative practicum with the Children's Alliance of Kansas, she brings rich professional experience to her role as Director of Government Affairs, and a front-line perspective on the needs of health and human services providers in our state.
