LeadingAge sent a letter to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on May 31 related to nursing home requirements for reporting COVID-related data through the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) system. Currently, nursing homes must report data on COVID and COVID vaccinations weekly through NHSN with risk of financial penalty for noncompliance. LeadingAge requested that CMS adjust reporting requirements to avoid duplicative or unnecessary reporting. Read more here
