On May 28, LeadingAge submitted comments on the FY2025 Hospice Wage Index proposed rule.  In 2023, LeadingAge developed multiple recommendations to push CMS to modernize the hospice benefit. LeadingAge responded to a request from a member of Congress, with a memo around reforms and improvements to the hospice benefit.  

LeadingAge also argued for a higher overall increase in hospice payment to meet the continued staffing crisis. Finally, LeadingAge made extensive comments on the new Hospice Outcomes and Patient Evaluation tool as well as the CAHPS survey changes. To read the full comments click here

Kylee has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a bachelor's degree in criminology with a minor in Conflict Analysis and Trauma studies from Kansas State University, and a certificate in Grant Proposal Writing from Fort Hays State University.
