While no formal announcement has come out for the Bob Bethell Joint Committee on KanCare Oversight, quarter two of the calendar year is slowly ending, meaning its announcement will come at any time. It is anticipated a good chunk of the hearing will be dedicated to the MCO contract announcements, but LeadingAge Kansas plans to submit testimony on any outstanding issues impacting provider members and consumers. We heard during Regional Roundtables some providers are facing issues with billing and reimbursement when billing directly through KMAP. If there are additional concerns or issues, please send those examples and suggestions for solutions to Kylee Childs by the end of the week.
