On April 18 at 10:00 AM CT, the Administration on Community Living (ACL) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Office of Disability Integration and Coordination are teaming up to provide a webinar focusing on keeping older adults and people with disabilities safe during disasters. The announcement recognizes that older adults are the most fatalities during natural disasters.  

This educational opportunity is the first in a four-part series and will focus on natural disasters prevalent in the Midwest like heat waves, tornadoes, and flooding. Individuals interested in signing up for the session can do so here.

Kylee has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a bachelor's degree in criminology with a minor in Conflict Analysis and Trauma studies from Kansas State University, and a certificate in Grant Proposal Writing from Fort Hays State University.
