The Fire Marshal’s office offered guidance through their online consultation form on the use of air fryers in household kitchens in NF and AL settings. The Centers of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) advised, “if cooking anything that leads to grease laden vapors, it must be under a hood with suppression nozzles.” This also includes the addition of any amount of cooking oil or cooking anything that releases fats such as meats.

With a professional background in law enforcement and child welfare, and a successful 2023 legislative practicum with the Children's Alliance of Kansas, she brings rich professional experience to her role as Director of Government Affairs, and a front-line perspective on the needs of health and human services providers in our state.
