The nationwide expansion of the home health value-based purchasing (HHVBP) model is set for Jan. 1, 2023. By expanding the HHVBP model, CMS seeks to improve the beneficiary experience by shifting from paying for home health services based on volume to a system that gives incentives to home health agencies for higher quality care.
