Emily Trask has been appointed as the new executive director of Newton Presbyterian Manor. Trask has served as human resource director at the Newton senior living community since October 2017.

“We are fortunate to have Emily accept the executive director position,” said Bill Taylor, chief operating officer for PMMA. “She is a familiar face to residents and employees. Her knowledge of the community, its residents, their families, and the employees bodes well for a smooth transition.”

Trask has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in human resources for Fort Hays State University. She has extensive senior living and long-term care experience having worked as a certified nurse assistant (CNA), medical records, central supply and social services. She also worked for Wichita Public Schools as manager of substitute programs.

“Emily strongly believes in our mission of providing quality senior services guided by Christian values,” Taylor said. “She believes the mission drives our purpose and can never be an afterthought in our day-to-day service to our residents.”

Trask’s first day in her new role will be December 10th. She succeeds Marc Kessinger, who has been executive director at Newton Presbyterian Manor for 11 years.

PMMA has 15 senior living communities and two hospices in Kansas and Missouri and a new senior living community under development in Colorado Springs. The not-for-profit organization is headquartered in Wichita, Kan.
