New Provider Relief Funds Deadlines and Guidance Released
HRSA has released new guidance and revised deadlines for provider relief funds and infection control payments received by skilled nursing facilities. The new guidelines are here.
Highlights:
- Deadline for spending funds is based on when payment received instead of an across-the-board June 30th deadline.
- 90-day reporting periods instead of 30 days.
- Portal for new provider relief funds opens July 1.

A Tool to Help with NHSN reporting
The HHS Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) offers a new resource to help in data collection for the NHSN. The Nursing Home Vaccine Administration Records For Staff and Residents resource provides one location for collection of required information on vaccines. AHRQ staff suggest that if a provider uses this resource, they will have everything they need for NHSN reporting. The tool can also support the coordination of next doses and identification of vaccine hesitancy.
