We are excited to launch a new and updated Center for Leadership program updated with lessons learned from the pandemic. The program meets 4 times per year in-person and will meet monthly via zoom for coaching groups to stay connected.

The Center for Leadership curriculum draws on adult learning theory to delve into the core principles of transformational leadership, person-centered care and innovation. The program emphasizes self-awareness and relationship-building through a variety of education methodologies with the following tenants:

  1. Discovering Your Authentic Leadership:  To understand ourselves so we can better lead others.
  2. Leading Through Advocacy and Community Relationships:  To understand trust in advocacy and community building.
  3. Leading Through Change:  To explore our potential as change agents in our organizations and in the field of senior living.
  4. Leading Empowering and Motivating:  To uncover what motivates us and others and learn how to build successful teams.

Traditional and experiential learning methods are used to create an environment in which Kansas Fellows learn from their own experiences as well as from one another, the coaches and design team as well as from leaders and experts in the field.
