KDADS Provides Cleaning Supplies to Adult Care Homes
In the next couple of weeks, all adult care homes that were eligible to purchase PPE through the state portal, will receive a goodie box of cleaning supplies worth approximately $1000. There were funds left over in the account related to the portal and the agency wanted to spend the remaining dollars equitably for providers. The boxes will be mailed either from Source 309 or AdCo. TA-CNA Questionnaire for Providers
KDADS recently pushed out a survey through COTA to gauge the need of courses to bridge TAs to fully Certified Nurse Aides. If you haven’t taken the survey, please do so here. This will help educational entities and KDADS offer courses in your area if needed.

CDC Issues First Set of Guidance for Activities of Fully Vaccinated Individuals-Does Not Include Healthcare Settings
CDC released today the first set of public health recommendations to guide visitation activities of fully vaccinated individuals. These recommendations offer flexibility from the public health recommendations we have been living under since the beginning of the global pandemic nearly one year ago. These recommendations apply to fully vaccinated individuals outside of healthcare settingsUpdated guidance for fully vaccinated individuals in healthcare settings, such as nursing homes, assisted living and inpatient hospice, is expected soon.
