Could your team benefit from improved teamwork and/or communication? Would you like to learn easy to implement, adaptable and proven tools to help your team perform better? Then join us for a virtual five session Team STEPPS® (Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety) Train-the-Trainer class. 

Teamwork and communication have always been important for success, but they are more important than ever right now. During the training series, you will learn tools and strategies to help with communication, leadership, mutual support, conflict resolution and more. This training is designed to help your team improve processes and efficiency not add things to your to do list. You will leave each session with tools and strategies to implement right away.

TeamSTEPPS® has proven effective in all healthcare settings including long-term care. Special attention will be given to how TeamSTEPPS® can help with antipsychotic reduction and Covid preparation, response, and recovery.

The virtual training series earns 7.5 hours of CE and TeamSTEPPS® Master Trainers status. A team of up to five people can register for only $25.00 (individuals for $10). Attendees must attend ALL sessions to earn Master Trainer status and full CE credit. 

Session 1:  Tuesday, September 22 – 1:30-3:00 PM
Session 2:  Wednesday, September 23 – 1:30 -3:00 PM
Session 3:  Thursday, September 24 – 1:30-3:00 PM
Session 4:  Wednesday, September 30 – 1:30-3:00 PM 
Session 5:  Thursday, October 1 – 1:30-3:00 PM

Stephanie Gfeller, MS, LACHA is the Director of Education and Leadership. Stephanie joined the association in 2019 and oversees the development of our education programs, writes and manages all of our federal grant programs, and leads our Center for Leadership program. With her master’s degree in Gerontology from Kansas State University, adult care home administrator license, experience as a researcher and instructor at the K State Center on Aging, and endless creativity, Stephanie is ideally suited to her leadership role in our field. Outside of work Stephanie enjoys reading, supporting her kids at all their activities, serving as a 4-H club leader, and being outside helping on her family farm.
