Economic Development and Connectivity Grants
A grant opportunity through the Kansas Department of Commerce and approved by the Strengthening People and Revitalizing Kansas (SPARK) task force is now available. The Economic Development and Connectivity Grants opens Wednesday, August 19th at 12:00 PM and eligible applicants include small businesses and nonprofits that have incurred losses of more than 25% of revenues during COVID, among others. In particular, we are highlighting opportunities for:
- Securing Local Food Systems Grant
- PPE Procurement Grant
- Connectivity Emergency Response Grant
- Broadband Partnership Adoption Grant

HHS Antigen Testing Initiative Update
Through use of the Defense Production Act, the production of antigen testing devices and test kits has significantly ramped up, allowing HHS to make good on its promise to distribute antigen testing devices and test kits to every CMS-certified nursing home in the country ahead of schedule.
Distribution has now been divided into 2 waves, with a different methodology for each wave. Wave 1 was completed August 14th. Wave 2 will be completed by September 30th. Find more information on the prioritization methodology, including hotspots and nursing home information.
