KANSAS UPDATES
- KDADS encourages adult care homes to let them know if they are making plans to serve people with COVID-19 or with COVID-19 symptoms, and if they plan to serve only their current residents or others from the larger community. (If you responded to the LTC Surge Capacity survey that was sent a couple of weeks ago, KDADS may have already contacted you.) KDADS would also like to hear from providers that did not respond to the survey if they are planning to care for COVID-19 positive or suspected individuals. This is strictly voluntary.
- Please return this Checklist, along with a brief, concise COVID-19 Plan to COVIDchecklist@ks.gov.
- KDADS plans to quickly review, get back to you if questions, and approve plans and then issue a “Temporary License/Authorization for COVID-19 Response Efforts.”
- Your information will be very helpful to KDADs so they will be better positioned to coordinate our COVID-19 efforts, statewide, and with their health care partners.
- If questions, send an email to COVIDchecklist@ks.gov
- KDADS extends PASSR for extra 30 days. Read the updated guidance.
- There 2,482 cases of COVID-19 in Kansas today. These numbers represent ONLY individuals that have had a positive COVID-19 test. | Map of COVID-19 in KS.
