A few quick reminders from the Kansas State Fire Marshal:

Generators: They are required to run under a load for four hours every 36 months

Fire Drills: Drills must be spaced out on random dates, and at different times. The time differential must be at least an hour. The drills should also include detail about the fire scenario being practiced.  If the drill occurs at night while residents are sleeping, you may perform a silent “coded” alarm, and you have until noon the following day to transmit the required data to your alarm company
