This valuable education provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazard in workplaces and will be offered June 18th & 19th in Lenexa and June 20th & 21st in Salina.
Goals and Objectives
At the end of the course, participants will:
- Have a fuller understanding of OSHA requirements in the workplace
- Be able to recognize and abate common hazards in the workplace
- Have the ability to provide guidance in safety and health matters
- Be better prepared in the event of an OSHA inspection
- Be formally recognized by the Department of Labor for their participation
Course Outline
Day One:
8:30 – 9 AM Registration, Coffee and Introductions
9 – 11 AM Introduction to OSHA
11 – Noon Walking and Working Surfaces, including Fall Protection
Noon – 1 PM Lunch provided
1 – 2 PM Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans
2 – 3 PM Electrical
3 – 4 PM Personal Protective Equipment
4 – 5 PM Hazard Communications
Day Two:
8:30 – 9 AM Sign-in and Coffee
9 – 10 AM Bloodborne Pathogens-Preventing Needle Sticks
10 – 11 AM Materials Handling
11 – noon Safety & Health Program, Safety Committees and Safety Training – Train the Trainer
Noon Final Comments and Adjournment
