The OSHA Outreach Training Program will be offered June 18th & 19th in Lenexa and June 20th & 21st in Salina. This valuable education provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazard in workplaces.
Goals and Objectives
At the end of the course, participants will:
- Have a fuller understanding of OSHA requirements in the workplace
- Be able to recognize and abate common hazards in the workplace
- Have the ability to provide guidance in safety and health matters
- Be better prepared in the event of an OSHA inspection
- Be formally recognized by the Department of Labor for their participation
Course Outline
Day One:
8:30 – 9 AM Registration, Coffee and Introductions
9 – 11 AM Introduction to OSHA
11 – Noon Walking and Working Surfaces, including Fall Protection
Noon – 1 PM Lunch provided
1 – 2 PM Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans
2 – 3 PM Electrical
3 – 4 PM Personal Protective Equipment
4 – 5 PM Hazard Communications
Day Two:
8:30 – 9 AM Sign-in and Coffee
9 – 10 AM Bloodborne Pathogens-Preventing Needle Sticks
10 – 11 AM Materials Handling
11 – noon Safety & Health Program, Safety Committees and Safety Training – Train the Trainer
Noon Final Comments and Adjournment
