LeadingAge Kansas members that are subject to CMS’s long term care survey and enforcement rules are strongly encouraged to take the Immediate Jeopardy Update Training covering the revised Appendix Q–Core Guidelines to Determining Immediate Jeopardy posted on the Integrated Surveyor Training website. The interactive training takes approximately 25 minutes to complete. KDADS surveyors are currently completing the online basic training available on CMS changes in determining Immediate Jeopardy. According to Patty Brown, KDADS Interim Commissioner of Survey, Certification and Credentialing, these modifications will be implemented no later than April 5, 2019.
