KDHE Division of Health Care Finance will offer nine Medicaid Training courses beginning April 9, 2019. The courses provide an overview of Kansas Medicaid with the following courses:

  1. Introduction to Medicaid Managed Care
  2. Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) mandate
  3. Medicaid Overview
  4. Introduction to Healthcare Codes & Claims
  5. Grievance, Appeals, & State Fair Hearings
  6. Eligibility
  7. HCBS Eligibility
  8. History of Kansas Managed Care
  9. Medicaid Waivers

Registration is first-come, first-served, and must be completed using the attached registration form. All training sessions will be held at Eisenhower State Office Building, 4th Floor Auditorium A and/or B, 700 SW Harrison, Topeka, KS 66603.

Rachel is a Kansas licensed attorney and adult care home administrator. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. Over the years, Rachel has served in many volunteer roles in her community and in the state of Kansas to support senior needs, aging services education, and community mental health services. She is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Kansas Health Care Stabilization Fund.
