In an effort to provide the most expedient course approval process to course providers, Health Occupations Credentialing will be implementing a change beginning January, 2019.  Rather than sending an email with an approval letter attachment, the email will provide notification that the courses are approved and advise that verification can be accessed at the course application portal. As you may already be aware, the ‘status’ of courses in the online course application portal changes from Received to Approved once the course has been approved. If a hard copy is desired we would recommend printing that screen for your records as the screen contains the same information that was included in the letters.   (Example below).

Waiver approval letters will continue to be prepared and sent via email attachment for those courses that require a Waiver for NATCEP Bans.

KDADS is hopeful this will reduce the wait time experienced for course approvals.
