The office of the State Ombudsman has asked us to remind adult care homes about the ombudsman notice requirement in the new electronic monitoring law.
When a resident chooses to conduct electronic monitoring in their room, a completed Notice of Authorized Electronic Monitoring Form must be retained in the resident’s file, and a copy provided to the resident, the resident’s roommate(s), and the office of the state long-term care ombudsman.
