Recordings Available from KDADS Reopening Plan Webinars This Week
KDADS Reopening Plan for nursing facilities was announced last Friday and information webinars were held early this week. It relies heavily on nursing facility consultation with local health departments. This information will apply to Nursing Facilities ONLY and we understand that plans for state licensed only providers will be released this week. Stay tuned.

After listening to the webinars, questions about the plan should be routed to KDADS at kdads.reopening@ks.gov.

LEADINGAGE NATIONAL UPDATES

Advocacy Campaign: Act for Older Adults
LeadingAge continues to advocate for our provider members across the full continuum of care. We are ramping up advocacy work during June and July to ensure that Congress’s next relief package includes support that’s aligned with our Five Essential Actions for Older Adults.

Later today, we will launch our new advocacy campaign “Act for Older Adults.” We’re rallying members, residents, families, and everyday Americans to fight for older adults during this pandemic. We sent a letter to Congress filled with robust and detailed asks, and members like you have already joined over 25 meetings with congressional offices. Over the next weeks, you can expect action alerts, sign-on letters, social media posts and other materials to help extend the campaign. We’ll soon launch a new web page to house messages and materials.

We hope that you will support these efforts. Together, we can influence this critical legislation and ensure that Congress delivers real relief for aging services providers and millions of older adults.
