Effective Immediately: NH Staff Testing Frequency Must be Based on KDHE County Positivity Rates
Last evening (9/24) KDADS released a new memo requiring ALL Kansas nursing facilities to use the county positivity rate data published by KDHE, not CMS, to determine staff surveillance testing frequency.  The requirement is effective immediately. The testing county positivity rates can be found under the “School Gating Metrics). Questions should be sent to KDADS_reopening@ks.gov. A FAQ document about testing is posted to the KDADS website.

KDHE Disease Reporting Portal Open for Positive Test Results
KDHE has announced that the new version of its disease reporting portal is now able to accept reports of positive test results from nursing homes.  The portal is still not ready to accept negative results reporting. Providers must continue to hold onto that data for batch uploading at a later date.
