STATE UPDATES

Learned in Weekly Call with KDADS Today

  • The Nursing Facility Cares Act funding authorized by the SPARK Task Force and State Finance Council should be on the way this month. An attestation form must be signed by every provider receiving funds prior to delivery. We will sa\hare the form with you as soon as it is released by KDADS.
  • KDADS has requested $10M from SPARK for the purpose of providing PPE to state licensed only facilities (AL, RHC, HP) at the rate of $225/staff member to cover an amount equivalent to 2.5 months. More details as they become known and as the request is given consideration and voted on by SPARK.
  • KDADS is working on getting an online PPE ordering portal for adult care homes up and going by the end of September. Supplies will be limited to select types and brands.  It is the intent of KDADS that nursing homes use part of the CARES Act funds they have received to pay for the PPE they need.
