LEADINGAGE KANSAS UPDATES

  • REMINDER: All adult care homes in Kansas remain under strict lockdown per CMS and KDADS guidelines.  On May 18th CMS released guidance to states that keeps nursing homes under the highest restriction category but allows states to develop their own plans to start the process of re-opening long-term care facilities.  The state of Kansas does not yet have a re-opening plan for long term care. Until they do, nothing has changed and all visitors, group activities and communal dining are restricted.
  • Have you received a call from the CDC? LeadingAge Kansas staff began hearing from members last week that they had been receiving consultative phone calls from the CDC related to COVID-19. These are free, voluntary ICAR (Infection Control Assessment and Response) Consultations as reported by Bryna Stacey bryna.stacey@ks.gov at KDHE.  View information sheet.
  • Join us for our next Weekly COVID-19 Call. Friday, June 5th | 10 AM.  Register today.
  • LeadingAge Kansas, KHCA and KACE are conducting a PPE survey.  Please take the survey at  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/X6HZ8LW by COB June 5th.  Thank you!
