KANSAS UPDATES
- There are 6,144 cases of COVID-19 in Kansas today. These numbers represent ONLY individuals that have had a positive COVID-19 test. | Map of COVID-19 in KS.
- The Kansas Fire Marshal released a letter concerning new CMS blanket waivers on physical environment. We will provide further detail after further analysis of testing and inspection requirements.

FEDERAL UPDATES
- CMS-CDC Reporting Start Date Pushed Out.CMS just posted a new Memo on National Healthcare Safety Network enrollment and reporting website. The start date for reporting has been pushed to May 17 with a two-week grace period to May 24. CMS urges nursing home providers to start the enrollment process as soon as possible. Prior to the new requirement, CMS reports that 3,000 nursing homes were already enrolled; since the new requirement (in COVID time) was announced, 600 additional providers have made it through the enrollment process. A total of 700 have started reporting on the LTC module.
