LEADINGAGE KANSAS UPDATES

  • Infection Control Surveys – We have heard from LeadingAge Kansas members concerned about the possible increased risk for disease transmission by having surveyors in their buildings for infection control surveys. LeadingAge Kansas is raising this concern to KDADS. LeadingAge national is raising it with CMS, since it is their requirement.  We hear from members that the surveys are taking about 3 hours if the provider has all of the required forms filled out and ready to go.  Surveyors bring their own PPE.  If you have concerns about surveyor conduct during an infection control survey, please contact your regional manager and/or debra@leadingagekansas.org. More details as they are available.
